The National OHS Campaign

SIGN THE PETITION

Unions know that workplace health and safety is the one of the biggest issues for all workers. We also know that prevention is the key.

Our focus is on making sure governments set strict health and safety laws and standards, that employers meet their obligations and that employees, and health and safety reps, understand their rights and how best to organise around health and safety at work.

Pass the new IR Laws

There is overwhelming public support for the immediate introduction of new industrial relations laws that boost rights and legal protections for working Australians during the economic downturn.

The Liberals are wedded to WorkChoices despite Australians wanting the Parliament to pass the new, fairer IR laws without delay.

Paid Maternity Leave in 2009's Federal Budget

An ever increasing number of families are suffering considerable financial stress when their babies are born.

As a result, many women are now returning to work too early - well before they have physically recovered in some cases and certainly before they have had enough to time to bond with and breastfeed their newborns.

After spending a couple of months collecting pictures and videos we've created the first version of the Paid Maternity Leave Digital Video Petition.

You can help keep the pressure on by sending the Paid Maternity Leave Digitial Video Petition to your local federal Member of Parliament.

Tide has Turned!

After years of going backwards on workers’ rights, we can now say that the tide has turned.

New industrial relations laws were released in November 2008 that, once passed, will give working Australians the fundamental right to collectively bargain for better wages and conditions.

Workers will be able to stand together with their colleagues and not be picked off individually as they were under WorkChoices. Everyone who campaigned or voted against WorkChoices should take pride in what has been achieved.
