Over the past two years we've worked together to get rid of the IR laws. Election 2007 is our moment of truth: will it be goodbye WorkChoices, or farewell to a fair go?

We have a bold plan in Victoria to help get rid of the laws by targeting three key seats.

About Deakin: The closest target seat to the Melbourne CBD, Deakin covers the area between Blackburn and Croydon. It is currently held by Liberal MP Phil Barresi. It requires a 5% swing for Mr Barresi to lose his seat, or about 4000 votes.

About La Trobe: LaTrobe is in Melbourne's North East, spanning from Bayswater to Gembrook and Officer. It is currently held by Liberal Jason Wood. But like in Deakin, an active rights at Work volunteer group and high profile ALP candidate means the 5% swing needed is very achievable.

Corangamite: Encompassing beautiful seaside towns like Torquay, Lorne and Apollo Bay as well as rolling plains and rainforests, Corangamite is held by Liberal Stewart McArthur. A 5.3% swing is required to unseat him.
