Well done!

The boundless energy, hard work and generosity of our supporters was made clear just this week. We sent out the call for donations for a newspaper ad on Thursday morning. Just 24 hours later we reached our target of $30,000. More than 1300 Rights at Work supporters generously chipped in, some for the very first time, some for the fifth or sixth time over the course of our campaign.

Thank you! Any additional donations go straight towards the TV advertising campaign in the lead up to the election.

NAME COMP: WORKCHOICES STILL UNFAIR DESPITE "REVAMP"
Mon Jul 09, 2007
Thanks for all who participated in our New Name competition for Work Choices and congratulations to our winners who have now been notified and will receive their "Your Rights At Work" BBQ Pack shortly. The competition was so tough that we agonised for hours over the entries. To see why, just take a look at some of the creative titles we received.

The most popular entries were "No Choices", "Worse Choices" and "Hobson's Choice".

Chris from Western Australia thought "Work Harder" was a more honest description of the legislation.
ASU member Anthony gave us "Fat Chances", while Yvonne from South Australia came up with the tactful "Screwdown".

Other entries included "Choice Cuts", "Wage Choppers", "Work Cheap", "Up Yours", "I Can't Believe It's Not Work Choices", "Plebs Choices", "The Boss Chooses", "Let Them Eat Cake" and the lengthy  but pithy "Whynotshutupandbegratefulforyourjob".

Once again, thanks to everyone who participated, we hope you had as much fun coming up with the names as we did reading them.
