As you write your Christmas cards, don’t forget your local politician. Did your Member of Parliament help John Howard give us “WorkChoices”, or are they going to help send it back like an unwanted Christmas present?

If your MP is a Liberal (LP) or National member they voted for “WorkChoices”.

Because of their vote, Australians face a less fair, less secure future. Politely let them know that you, as their constituent, are not happy, and remind them that at the next election you will hold them accountable. 

If your MP is in the ALP or is an independent, they voted against “WorkChoices”.

Kim Beazley has promised that if Labor wins the next election, they will rip up these laws. Let your MP know that next year you will be looking to them to build a fairer, more just alternative industrial relations system. Remind them that at the next election you will scrutinise their IR policy and vote accordingly.

Mr Howard needs to know that we will never forget his unfair laws. And Mr Beazley needs to know that we are deadly serious about creating a fairer Australia.
