Today’s Liberal leader Tony Abbott was a key Minister in the former Liberal Government that introduced WorkChoices. Now, he wants to bring it back. He just won’t call it WorkChoices.

We need to go forward on workers' rights, not backwards to the Liberals' new version of WorkChoices.

Name derivation: Named after Norman Lindsay (1879-1969), a well known writer and artist.

Size & location description: Lindsay covers an area of approximately 339 sq km from Berkshire Park and Londonderry in the north to  Mulgoa and Orchard Hills in the south, Colyton in the east and Emu Heights in the west. Suburbs also include Cambridge Park, Cambridge Gardens, Castlereagh, Claremont Meadows, Cranebrook, Emu Plains, Glenmore Park, Jamisontown, Kingswood, Leonay, Llandilo, North St Marys, Oxley Park, Penrith, Regentville, St Marys, South Penrith, Werrington, Werrington County, Werrington Downs and parts of Agnes Banks, Luddenham and Wallacia.

Products/industries of the area: Agriculture, farming (dairying, poultry, beef, fruit, vegetables), distilling (saki), construction and service industries, tourism, wholesale and retail trade, building materials, engineering and electrical equipment, textiles, plastic and aluminium products, colour TV manufacturing, pharmaceutical goods and concrete and gravel extraction.
